The Intersection of Jazz Music and The Exodus Story - With Dr. Mark Glanville

Regent College Podcast Season 3 Episode 212

The Blues and Jazz music  speak to the dissidence, lament, and longing that many experience.  This music is unique in the sense that it finds its roots in the atrocities of slavery and the freedom experienced after emancipation.  The Exodus story was also about a people enslaved and oppressed.  We had a wonderful and enlightening conversation with Dr. Mark Glanville about the intersection of Jazz music and the Exodus story.  This conversation took place in Mark's living room where he played the piano for us.  So we hope you enjoy he conversation and the jazz music.
