How are we to understand the purpose of the Book of Exodus? Why did God harden Pharaoh's heart and what exactly does it mean? Why did God try and kill Moses, but was stopped by Zipporah? What does it mean to take the Lord's name in vain? We discussed these questions and more with Dr. Carmen Joy Imes who has spent significant time in the Book of Exodus and is currently writing a commentary on it.
