Grace Tan is a figurative artist and has always been captivated by the human body. She uses charcoal to image individuals, which as she states "feels like an extension of her fingers." Her most recent exhibition came out of the story of Hagar in Genesis and reflects on how God saw Hagar through the eyes of love. Grace is enthralled by faces and different figures and through her images strains to look deeper at the inner working of people's hearts. We hope you enjoy the conversation.
